The Submissions department receives and processes over 2200 applications from filmmakers around the world each year. There's lots of data inputting, filing of videos, answering queries from filmmakers by phone and email, and payment processing. If you would like to help with this you will see in action, whilst facilitating, the selection process of the festival’s programmers. The processing of applications is repetitive in nature. To be happy helping this department you need to be patient and focused. It’ll help you to be IT savvy and a good communicator. NB The submissions process finishes a good six weeks shy of the actual festival, so you may want to consider helping elsewhere in that time.
