Based in the Development team, the Events Placement assists the Events Manager with the organisation and delivery of Festival events, primarily the Opening Night Party, the Industry Party and the Closing Night Party. The post holder will gain experience and understanding of the admin and planning behind these events including event logistics and delivery, project and time management, communications, relationship building, event promotion, branding and PR.
The role will involve liaison with EIFF’s valued suppliers, supporters and guests and will appeal to someone who takes pride in their organisational, presentation and communication skills, who is a creative but can also think practically, and who has great attention to detail. An appreciation of the high standards required of our events, and the importance of the events for the Festival and its stakeholders will also be helpful.
The Events Placement will be of particular interest if you’re considering a career in event management and production, and also any role that relies on executing successful events such as PR and fundraising.
