PLACEMENTS (All teams)
Late April to early July. 1 full-time post. Flexible working will be considered.
Based in the Development team, the Functions Placement assists the Functions Manager with the organisation and delivery of Film Festival functions including the Opening Night Party, the EIFF Industry Party/Ceilidh, the Closing Night Party and other functions as required. The post holder will gain experience and understanding of the admin and planning behind these functions including event logistics and delivery, project and time management, communications, relationship building, event promotion, branding and PR.
The role will involve liaison with EIFF’s valued suppliers, supporters and guests and will appeal to someone who takes pride in their organisational, presentation and communication skills, who is a creative but can also think practically, and who has great attention to detail. An appreciation of the high standards required of our functions, and the importance of the functions for the Festival and its stakeholders will also be helpful.
The Functions Placement will be of particular interest if you’re considering a career in event management and production, and also any role that relies on executing successful functions such as PR and fundraising.
