PLACEMENTS (All Departments)
Information Coordination Assistants (2 posts)
Early April to mid-July OR May-end July. 2 full-time posts. Flexible working will be considered.
Working closely with the Office Manager and another Information Coordination Assistant, you'll be facilitating the flow of information through the Festival.
It’s all about servicing and supporting. For example you'll be answering incoming calls, dealing with general enquiries, message taking, stationery ordering, answering emails, doing the post and ordering couriers and taxis.
There's lots to learn but in the process this Placement will give you a clear overview of the organisational structure and co-ordination of a rapidly expanding work force. You'll get to know who's who at EIFF and the role played by each Festival department.
You will need to be good with people - on phones and in person - and have great stamina to keep smiling when you're juggling lots of information. You must enjoy an office environment, work well in a small team and be able to work in the background.
EIFF Placements are mentored, learning opportunities, providing valuable work experience within a specific team at the Festival. Please see the EIFF Recruitment Policy in the introduction section for further information on EIFF Placements.
