PLACEMENTS (All Departments)
Registration Assistants (2 posts)
Position filled for 2013.
early May - end June. 2 full-time posts. Flexible working will be considered.
Based in the Industry Department at EIFF, you will assist the Registration Coodinator with all Press and Industry accreditations.
Within this department you will learn a great deal about the UK Film Industry and Film Press, who the key players are across these two sectors, and more generally how films are bought and sold for distribution throughout the world.
Prior to the Festival your role will be mainly computer-based. Attention to detail and patience are the name of the game as the role requires accurate data entry. Excellent spoken and written English will be helpful and if you are naturally an organised person this would be great.
During the Festival itself you will help deal with questions from all visiting passholders at the Registration Desk located in the EIFF Delegate Centre. You will also help ensure the sign-up access to events is running smoothly, and that relevant information on display in the Delegate Centre is accurate and up to date.
You will also be available to help with EIFF’s major events during the Festival such as our Opening Night, Closing and other Gala premieres and parties.
EIFF Placements are mentored, learning opportunities, providing valuable work experience within a specific team at the Festival. Please see the EIFF Recruitment Policy in the introduction section for further information on EIFF Placements.
