Social Media Editor

This role is responsible for the delivery of effective and engaging social media content and dialogue with the EIFF audience, ensuring integration across a wide variety of website and social media channels.

The Marketing Department is responsible for publicising the EIFF, engaging audiences and driving ticket sales. This is achieved through a wide variety of communication channels, with EIFF’s digital platforms naturally playing a significant role. In order to generate dynamic, engaging and relevant content for online publishing, EIFF requires a specialist Social Media Editor to be responsible for the delivery and generation of this content in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and other EIFF teams. The Social Media Editor creates web-centric content to support the Marketing Department’s objectives, optimising EIFF’s digital channels.

The individual needs to be proactive and responsive with a determination to drive interest and discourse across EIFF's digital platforms in line with objectives determined by the Marketing Manager. Experience and passion for social media communications technology and techniques is essential, an interest in film is of course important.
