Paul Wright

Paul was born in the Scottish coastal town of Lower Largo, Scotland in 1981. He graduated from the RSAMD where his first film, Hikikomori won a Scottish BAFTA for Best New Work followed by a BAFTA nomination in 2007 for Best Short Film and won Best Drama at the Royal Television Society awards. In the same year Paul was named as one of Screen International’s ‘Stars of Tomorrow’.
His 2009 film Believe won the Golden Leopard for Best International Short Film at Locarno as well as awards at Miami, Winterthur and Leeds Film Festivals. This year his film Photos Of God premiered at the Berlinale.
Paul is based in London and is currently developing his first feature film with Sigma and Zentropa Films as part of the Advance Party 2 scheme as well as a further feature project with Warp Films.
