After graduating with a degree in Criminology and Sociology, Jonathan found work as a commercials runner and playback assistant. Working alongside directors, Jonathan gained an understanding of the intricacies of direction and camera systems. The Cull, starring Steve Evets (Looking for Eric), is Jonathan’s latest film. Whilst of a specific period and setting, the film exhibits Jonathan’s passion for cinematic scale, stylistic aesthetic and subtlety of characterisation. Previous to this, Jonathan spent over a year working with actors in Manchester studios, culminating in him directing theatre adaptations of A Clockwork Orange and Jonathan Moore’s Treatment. He has also directed a series of music videos.
In 2008, Jonathan was selected to attend the Berlinale Talent Campus during the Berlin Film Festival. Most recently Jonathan recently completed the 2009-10 ‘Action’ scheme awarded at Working Title Films.
