Rob Brown

Rob Brown is a 23 year old director from Birmingham whose first £150 short film Family Portrait was nominated for the BBC New Filmmakers Awards 2005 and was broadcast on BBC TV in March 2006.
Inspired by the films of Kiarostami and Kubrick, Rob has since directed five shorts at Bournemouth Film School where his award nominations included the 'Newcomer' Award at Soho Shorts 2006 and NPA Short Film Awards before he was chosen by Mark Kermode as winner of 'Best Drama' at the BBC Big Screen Awards 2006. Rob also won the same BBC award this year for Open Skiesand had a short broadcast on BBC3 last winter.
