Timo Langer’s career began at The New York Film Academy producing and directing short films and working as a technical advisor. After studying photography at Bolton University he attended the German Film school and graduated as a Digital Artist. He then went to Edinburgh College of Art where he received a Master of Design in Visual Communication. He recently graduated from the Screen Academy Scotland with a Master of Fine Art in Advanced Screen Practise.
Throughout his career Timo has written, produced and directed projects of all kinds including drama, documentary, commercials, music videos, experimental and animation, and is therefore an exceptionally trained, skilled and practised film maker.
EIFF announces prize money increase to £20,000 for the Michael Powell Award & the return of the Best Documentary Award
Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) today announced that it has increased its prize money for the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film to £20,000 for 2014. In addition, the Festival will also see the return of the Award for Best Documentary Feature Film after a three-year hiatus.
