Marçal is born in May 1981 in Barcelona, Spain. He decides to devote his life to film in 1999 when he applies to study at ESCAC Film School in Barcelona. The years go by with short projects and music
videos, and soon he'll end up finding his true voice in Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! (2004), a rare short of a teenage love story (winning the International Jury Award at Brief Encounters 2005, and selections at
Toronto, Brooklyn, Raindance amongst other festivals).

Marçal graduates from his film studies at the NFTS in 2007 with Friends Forever, (Edinburgh International Film Festival, London International Film Fest. 2007). Soon after his studies, Marçal will become a member of a trio band called Bingo-Wings, on the mission of spreading worship to bingo wings around the world.
