EIFF Talent Lab 2015 - APPLICATIONS OPEN
EIFF Talent Lab offers thirty emerging directors, producers and screenwriters the chance to take part in our four day programme of workshops, roundtables, and individually tailored career and development advice sessions. Participants will be provided with the opportunity to be inspired and mentored by key industry professionals.
The Wellcome Trust Ideas Lab is a rare opportunity for talented, distinctive screenwriters and writer/directors to develop story ideas by immersing themselves in the world of biomedical research during the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
EIFF Short Film Challenge - APPLICATIONS OPEN
EIFF is delighted to announce the second year of our short film competition, the EIFF Short Film Challenge. We are looking for filmmakers and potential filmmakers to get their imaginations in gear and send us in a film relating to this year's theme 'LIGHT'. Winners will receive and all expenses paid trip to Encounters Short Film & Animation Festival in September.
EIFF Network 2015 - Currently shortlisting for 2015
EIFF Network is an online development programme which offers participants access to an array of mentoring, support, advice and access to industry professionals over a nine month period.
Together with story editor Kate Leys, EIFF supports participants to build their own networks within Network and offers opportunities for development remotely rather than via residencies.
This initiative is funded by the Creative Skillset Film Skills Fund and by Creative Scotland.
Now confirmed for 2015, the next edition of the Animation Lab will offer twenty animation filmmakers, writers and producers a three day programme of events, masterclasses and networking opportunities during EIFF.
SFTN is the Scottish section of the BFI NET.WORK, connecting the UK’s film agencies for the first time, bringing together experienced development teams and talent centres to offer hands-on and holistic development opportunities for promising UK writers, directors and producers who are yet to make their first feature film.
