Industry Services
Edinburgh is a vital stop on the film festival circuit - famous for its cultural importance and intimacy, the Edinburgh International Film Festival is recognised as a place to find new, important, international work and offers delegates the opportunity to immerse themselves in an eclectic and innovative film programme plus the chance to soak up the unique atmosphere for which Edinburgh is renowned.
The intimate scale of the Festival, and the Industry Delegate Guide, make networking easy, and the Industry Office team led by Mary Davies can provide one to one advice for any delegate during the Festival. For Industry Access and Student pass holders we also have Press & Industry screenings of films in the Festival programme, and the Videotheque which contains both Festival films and British fiction features and shorts produced within the past year and listed in the annual Film UK Guide to British Films, for viewing in individual booths on DVD.

Sharing Stories & Industry Events
Sharing Stories was a very successful co-production conference that took place in Scotland for several years. The idea behind it was mutual and edifying exchange in a professional context where producers, distributors, funders, writers and film commissions could meet and share their experiences and expertise. Last year's reintroduction was designed to remind and inspire delegates of the importance of "sharing stories" in the context of professional growth and development. We will be highlighting events that reflect the Sharing Stories theme and will develop this format further for 2009.
The Industry Events programme at EIFF is intended to be relevant for all stages of a film professional's career - to enhance and inspire and to offer networking opportunities you would not experience elsewhere.
This year's Industry Events will cover a wide and diverse range of relevant topics. For more information about the 2008 Industry Events programme as well as a schedule of events, please visit the Industry Events page, which will be updated regularly in advance of the Festival.
