Cai Shangjun
Cai Shangjun graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in literature. After graduating he spent two years making documentaries. His work as a screenwriter for films like Spicy Love Soup (1997), Shower (1999) and Sunflower (2005) earned him recognition in China, and the films received many awards. The Red Awn is his first feature film
