Born in Umeå, Sweden in 1974, Jens Jonsson studied film directing at The University College of Film, Radio, Television and Theatre in Stockholm. During his studies he made Reparation (2001), and K-G for Better or for Worse (2002), both of which won the Silver Medal at Cannes Cinéfondation. This led to the prestigious French grant, La Résidence du Festival de Cannes, the following year. Jonsson’s shorts have recently screened in a retrospective of his films held at the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival (2006).
