When former Blur frontman Damon Albarn and Tank Girl creator Jamie Hewlett dreamed up Gorillaz – a virtual pop group with members drawn by Hewlett and music masterminded by Albarn - director Ceri Levy decided to document the whole adventure. The result is an affectionate, infectious close-up look at creativity run wild, peopled with charismatic characters both 2- and 3-D. From screaming fans to disapproving church elders, and with collaborators ranging from Dennis Hopper to Shaun Ryder, the seven-year Gorillaz odyssey is a very fun party to crash.
