A marvellous and moving film of men and heir mothers.

Irish documentary maker Ken Wardop takes a delightful delve into the mother/son relationship, heading off to Oklahoma (described as the ‘manliest state’ in the US at the start of the film) and using a radio show, where - with Mother’s Day looming - men are asked to call in to discuss their mothers, as a springboard to examine the lives of these relationships. It’s a touching and thoroughly engaging concept that results in a deeply moving, amusing and highly watchable film. [PG]
