Alexandra Kalweit, Stuart Martin, Dimitrina Elliott, Alan Gilchrist, Kevin Woolley, John Fitzmaurice, Angelique Smith / Fiction / English
A very special romantic comedy set in Brighton.
Frank is a good-natured young Scot who works as a caretaker for adults with special needs. Ilse is a witty, artistically-inclined young woman originally from East Germany who works at a Bulgarian bakery. Their friendship seems on the verge of turning into something more, but they both have their reasons for not wanting to let that happen too soon. Irresistible performances from Alexandra Kalweit and Stuart Martin and deft writing and directing make this unassuming comedy a sure winner. [12A]
