International Animation 2: The Universe in a Frame

  • Ireland, China, Japan, Spain, Lithuania, Sweden, USA /
  • 76 mins

An anthology of animation from around the earth.

Animation continues to create wonder, manifesting concepts of universal experience through painstaking creation one frame at a time. This eclectic programme of shorts from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds demonstrates animation as a unique form of filmmaking and means of artistic expression. The quest for a missing scarf opens questions of existence, a Chinese legend crafted over three years uses traditional inscription methods, and a quirky take on America’s litigious culture mingle amongst this contemporary collection of shorts.
