Phillippe GrandrieuxPhilippe Grandrieux is a French artist, screenwriter and director who works in feature films, experimental television, video art, documentary and museum and gallery installation. Grandrieux’s first two full-feature films were Sombre (1998, which won an award at the Locarno Film Festival) and La Vie Nouvelle / A New Life (2002). In 2008 his work was exhibited in Tokyo, Japan and at Tate Modern in London as part of the major retrospective. His 2011 documentary It May Be That Beauty Has Strengthened Our Resolve - Masao Adachi (Grandrieux was co-author of the project with Nicole Brenez) was programmed in more than 35 festivals, universities and museums.
