The Surprise Movie

  • 120 mins

If you think you know what the Surprise Movie is, you’re wrong…

It could be literally anything, in any format, any language, or any genre. As you’ll have seen from this year’s programme, our taste is varied and unpredictable. The title is the most tightly guarded secret at EIFF, never uttered or hinted at. What we can guarantee is that it’s something that we’re excited about — so excited in fact, we’re doing simultaneous screenings at two venues, giving you twice the chance to see it! You’d be a fool to miss out.

I saw it tired and hungry and, as such, was weeping by the end. Beautiful and deep, life lessons a plenty, wonderful performance and very funny!
