Rikiya Imaizumi

Rikiya Imaizumi was born in 1981 in Fukushima, Japan. He studied under director Tomoyuki Furumaya in film school and worked as an assistant director in Nobuhiro Yamashita's workshops. During that time his own independent short films won many awards, including the Grand Prizes at the Mito Short Film Festival (Stop Jerking Off, 2007) and the Tama New Wave (Two-Timer, 2009). His first commercial feature film, Tama no eiga, was released in 2010, followed by It’s Over Now in 2011. His film Tuesday Girl (2011) was part of the official selection of Nippon Connection 2011.?
