Thomas Arslan (b.1962, Braunschweig, Germany) studied at the DFFB film school in Berlin between 1986 and 1992. He made his film debut at the Berlinale in 1994 with Mach die Musik leiser, followed by Geschwister (1997) and Dealer (1999). Other films by Arslan include: A Fine Day / Der Schöne Tag (2001), the documentary Aus Der Ferne (2005), Vacation / Ferien (2007) and In the Shadows / Im Schatten (2009). Since 2007 Arslan has been a member of the faculty at the UdK (University of Art, Berlin) as a professor for narrative film.
