Shireen Seno

Shireen Seno was born to a Filipino family in Japan, where she spent most of her childhood. She graduated from the University of Toronto and worked in Los Angeles and Tokyo, before moving to Manila. Seno’s art work has been exhibited solo and in group shows. She started out in film shooting stills for Lav Diaz and John Torres before directing her debut feature, Big Boy, which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2013. Seno's next film, Nervous Translation, is part of the Venice International Film Festival's inaugural Biennale College – Cinema in 2013.
