Michael WahrmannMichael Wahrmann is a director, screenwriter and editor. He is Israeli-Uruguayan, residing in São Paulo since 2004. He began working as an artist and photographer in 2000. In 2007 he graduated from the FAAP Cinema School in São Paulo. He founded his production company SANCHO Filmes in 2009 to support his projects as well as other commercial works.GRANDMOTHERS (2009), his first short film, premiered at the 60th Berlin Film Festival and received over 40 awards in Brazil and abroad. OMA (2011), his follow-up short won the Best Film Award at Las Palmas IFF among many others.Besides his personal projects, Michael is currently teaching direction at the São Paulo International Cinema Academy. AVANTI POPOLO is his first feature film.
