London 2012 Festival, Film 4 and BBC Films co-commissioned four of the UK’s finest directors, Mike Leigh, Lynne Ramsey, Asif Kapadia, and Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini, to come up with short films to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The films will be shown as part of the London 2012 Festival on cinema screens during the Olympic Summer, and subsequently broadcast on Channel Four and the BBC.
Lynne Ramsey's The Swimmer was co-commissioned by Creative Scotland.
The Odyssey - World Premiere

A poetic journey through the waterways and along the coastline of the British Isles, following a lone swimmer through lakes, rivers and coves, framed by a soundtrack of seminal British music from Delius to The La’s.
What If - World Premiere
Max Giwa, Dania Pasquini/UK/2012/English dialogue/Colour&BW/20 min
A teenager on the path to self-destruction finds unlikely inspiration in a troupe of ballerinas, a skateboarder, a graffiti artist, free runners and battling MCs.
