In a career that has spanned five decades, Elliott Gould has become one of the iconic actors of American film. His performances in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969), M*A*S*H (1970), The Long Goodbye (1973), and other films made him a central figure of the New American Cinema. A versatile actor, he has pursued his art with unflagging power, humour and humanity up to the present day. In his latest film, Fred, screening at EIFF, he gives a tour-de-force performance in the title role. Join Mr Gould for a discussion of an extraordinary career.
