Dame Judi Dench narrates and John Balance of Coil provides the score for this beautiful, lyrical homage to homosexual love.
An unseen woman recites Shakespeare's sonnets as a man wordlessly meanders through a foggy, surreal landscape. Stunning, multi-layered imagery and a hauntingly ethereal soundtrack add a gentle, romantic and hypnotic tone. The films of Derek Jarman at EIFF have been programmed by our Guest Curator, Gus Van Sant.
