2010 TED Global fellow Teru Kuwayama is the founder of Basetrack, a social media reporting project, that used iPhones and Facebook to convey the experiences of Marines in Afghanistan to their families and a broader public. Teru and Basetrack contributor, Balazs Gardi, will discuss their experiences embedded with military forces over the past decade and their efforts to open the parameters of reporting and journalism.
