Was looking forward to Bombay Beach at Sheffield but was so disspointed. Feels a very over-hyped film. Read a fair review in "Variety" which better sums it up. Feels like an extended film school peice and runs out of steam totally in the last third. There is very little story and if you strip away the great commercial CD soundtrack then there is really very little. character or story arc. The 4 dance parts are nice, particularly the night time one but in between there is very little. Got very tired of the signs 50 miles from BBB, 200 miles from BBB, 400 miles from BBB etc as the filmmaker struggled to have a story to tell within BBB itself. Would make a much better 20 mins short than a full feature length doc.
