24 Hours of Spatial Politics, curated by Markus Miessen
Markus Miessen is an internationally operating architect, spatial consultant and writer, and one of the Festival’s guest curators.
Inspace events are run independently of the EIFF Box Office. To book tickets click on the link below.
Please note that Markus Meissen cannot attend the event and so the event has been altered as follows:
Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 will run at the originally scheduled start times of 12:00 and 18:00, respectively, on Tuesday 21st June.
Chapter 3 and Chapter 4, originally scheduled to start at 0:00 and 07:00 on Wednesday 22nd, are both cancelled.
The event as a whole will therefore run for 12 hours only, and will end shortly before midnight on Tuesday 21st.
He is the author of many books and articles, and the editor of ‘Did Someone Say Participate’ (the Independent: “one of the ten best architecture books of all time”). Markus will transform Inspace into, as he puts it, an “informally discursive social space, a hub for antagonistic debate, non- consensualformats of moving image display, and – ultimately – a platform for alternative formats of civility”. His challenging programme of speeches, films, arguments and interruptions can be found by searching the What’s On pages of the EIFF site.
The 24 hours will be broken down into four five-hour chapters, each separated by hour long breaks. Participants are welcome to attend just one or two sessions, or the full 24 hours. Tickets for each chapter are sold separately. Therefore, in order to attend the full event please reuest tickets for all four chapters.
