Gerardo Naranjo
Gerardo Naranjo grew up in Salamanca, Mexico. It was also in Mexico that he started working as a film critic and in 1997 directed his first short Pero Negro. Following this, he studied for a Masters in Directing at the American Film Institute in LA . His Masters thesis The Last Attack of the Beast won several awards and acted as a springboard for his debut feature film Malachance (2004). His film Drama/Mex premiered at Cannes in 2006 before screening at 50 other festivals.
