Delicate in its treatment of relationships, and vibrantly shot, this is a true gem.

The directorial debut of screenwriter Cai Shangjun: a gorgeous looking, gently affecting drama. After five years working away from home, Song (played by the excellent Yao Anlian) returns home to find that not only is he a widower, but he himself has been declared officially dead. Inconveniently risen, this long absent father must strive to rebuild his bond with his motherless teenage son, as the pair strive to sustain themselves through farming.
