Andrei Konchalovsky
?Andrei Konchalovsky came onto the international scene in 1974 with Romance for Lovers. Based in Hollywood in the 1980s, he constantly crossed the border between arthouse and mainstream with Maria’s Lovers (1984), Runaway Train (1985) and Homer and Eddie (1989). Since his return to Russia, Konchalovsky has continued work on TV productions in Hollywood, such as his Emmy Award winner The Odyssey (1997), House of Fools (2002) and The Lion in Winter (2003), which won the Grand Special Jury prize at the Venice Festival.
