14 Kilometres
Adoum Moussa, Illiassou Mahamadou Alzouma, Aminata, Kanta
A visually stunning odyssey in search of freedom.
The film’s title refers to the distance between North Africa and Spain: the final stretch of the journey towards a life where “nobody dies of hunger”, here undertaken by three young Africans. Featuring a fantastic soundtrack including music by Spain’s Santi Vega and Senegal’s Youssou N’Dour, 14 Kilometres presents a touching picture of a dangerous migration undertaken by thousands of desperate people every year.
