Timur Bekmambetov
Timur Bekmambetov graduated the Institute of Theatrical Arts in Tashkent, Bekmambetov and then worked as a set designer. His directorial and screenwriting debut was 1994’s The Peshavar Waltz. In 1999, he produced and directed the eight-part television mini-series Our 90s, and the following year directed his second feature, The Arena. He is founder and General Director of the Imperial Film Closed Stock Company and Tabbak Film Studio. Day Watch is his fourth feature film.
