An Insight into Edinburgh International Film Festival

Four places are still available on the Edinburgh University course for film lovers.

This exclusive course, run jointly by EIFF and the University of Edinburgh, offers six film premieres and and one in-person event.

Kicking off on Wednesday 20 June with the Opening Night Gala and the UK Premiere Killer Joe, the course takes place over four days. During this time, course participants will attend discussions, illustrated lectures, and film premieres.

Participants will get the chance to see a number of films: the World Premiere of Berberian Sound Studio, Berlin Festival's critical hit, Tabu, Australian director Daniel P. Jones’s Hail, coming-of- age Japanese drama The Friends, landmark Chinese documentary He Fengming, and a masterclass with the latter film's internationally acclaimed director, Wang Bing.

All of these films and events are part of the course selection, which will allow participants to fully appreciate the range and depth of the Festival’s programming.

All tickets and the 2012 Festival catalogue are included in the course fee.
