Opening Night: The Guard

We invite you along to the Opening Night film, The Guard, tonight at Festival Theatre

Good morning, festival-goers!

We hope you have your specs in hand and tickets at the ready for The Guard at tonight's Opening Night event.

John Michael McDonagh's hilarious directorial debut stars Brendan Gleeson as foul-mouthed, small-town Garda Sergeant Gerry Boyle. Irish humour mixed with dark overtones create this wise-cracking black comedy. Don Cheadle co-stars as uptight FBI agent Wendell Everett to get to the bottom of a high profile drug trafficking scheme off the coast of Galway.

The preview screening went down a treat with Press and Industry Delegates yesterday, and the public is cordially invited to tonight's Opening Night screening.

You can still purchase your tickets here, by phone, and in person at the Filmhouse. We look forward to welcoming you to the Edinburgh International Festival!
