We have lift-off!
Project: New Cinephilia’s official site goes live…
As we have previously reported, 2011 sees the Edinburgh International Film Festival conducting an exciting, day-long symposium entitled Project: New Cinephilia, exploring the way cinema is talked about, written about, taught and criticised in the 21st century.
One unique element of the project is the bespoke website which launches today, hosting a plethora of specially commissioned essays and round-tables that will encourage debate and thought in the run up to the main event.
Discussions sparked by work and texts on the P:NC site will be fed through the forum pages of MUBI, the online cinema website, bringing this stimulating debate to a world-wide audience. To explore the chat that has already started visit http://mubi.com/notebook/posts/3355. The Project: New Cinephilia site will also host details and scheduling for the day-long event on June 16th, as well as details about the project’s curators and participants.
So what are you waiting for… log on and join in the discussion at
