An Insight into the Edinburgh International Film Festival

Edinburgh University’s unique EIFF course is back!

The University of Edinburgh’s exclusive course that explores the EIFF and its programme is returning this year with an eclectic range of screenings and exciting networking opportunities. “An Insight into the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2011” allows participants the chance to analyse and discover the range and depth of the Festival’s film programming, whilst networking with fellow cinephiles.

This year, participants will be treated to six premiere screenings and one special event. Each screening will be followed by lectures to provide context and discussion. The special event will allow students to be part of the space where filmmakers, producers and actors come to discuss their work – a unique experience for anyone taking part.

All screenings are held in local cinemas that are within walking distance from the University, or accessible by public transport. Details of the films and event will be confirmed shortly after the EIFF Programme launch on 17 May. Whether you have attended film courses before or are new to the subject, this special course will enhance your understanding and appreciation of film.

The course is now open for enrolment and has a limited number of places. For further information click here.
