Travelling to Edinburgh

There are several ways in which you can travel to the airport, Airlink and the Edinburgh shuttle are both popular.
Airlink is an express bus service between Waverley Bridge in the city centre and Edinburgh Airport running every 10 minutes from early morning until after midnight.
The Edinburgh Shuttle is a door-to-door pick up and drop-off service providing a fleet of seven seater executive mini-buses running every 15-30 minutes between the airport and city centre.
Rail
For those who prefer rail travel, the East coast mainline takes rail passengers from Edinburgh right into the heart of the city. There are around 80 trains a day from Edinburgh to Glasgow and 20 a day to London. London is four and a half hours away by train while the Edinburgh to Glasgow shuttle runs every 15 minutes between 7am and 7pm and takes roughly 50 minutes.

Edinburgh sits at the centre of an extensive road network providing links across Scotland and the UK. The M8, Scotland's busiest motorway, connects Edinburgh to Glasgow in 55 minutes and also provides a link to the M74, the main motorway leading to the south.
